Community Reads 2018 welcomes Paulette Jiles, author of News of the World to Bowling Green Tuesday, October 16 at 7 pm in the WCDPL Atrium.

Paulette Jiles is a poet, memoirist, and bestselling novelist. Her books include the memoir Cousins and the novels Enemy WomenStormy WeatherThe Color of Lightning, and Lighthouse Island.

The Community Reads selection, News of the World, is set in post-Civil War Texas and exquistely captures a complex time and place in U. S. history. It was a 2016 National Book Award finalist.

Is there assigned seating? No. Seating is by general admission.

Will books be available for purchase at the event? Yes. Copies of select titles by Ms. Jiles will be sold by the Friends of the Library. Checks or cash only, please.
