How do I donate books to WCDPL? The Library (Bowling Green and Walbridge) greatly appreciates donated materials.
However, as of May 28, 2019, WCDPL is unable to accept donated materials due to the loss of local book recycling and lack of storage space at the library.
If our ability to accept donations changes, we will post that information on the library webpage.
When we are able to accept donated materials, your donation goes to our Friends of the Library book sale where the funds raised enhance our collections, programs, and services at both locations.
Donated items should be brought to the library in boxes that the library can keep (not in containers that need to be returned). However, boxes moved directly from a storage unit, garage, or another place where mice or insects may have gotten into the boxes cannot be accepted.
If you would like a receipt for your donations, please ask a staff member. Library staff is not able to determine the value of your donation, but they can confirm the number and type of items you donated.
