With your WCDPL library card, you have access to everything The New York Times has to offer, including News, Games, Cooking, Wirecutter, and The Athletic! Here's how to start exploring:

At the library:

  1. Visit using any device. Ensure you are using the library's Wi-Fi connection.

  2. Go to the upper right-hand corner of the screen. Click on "Log in" to create a free account, or log in to your existing account.

  3. You now have access to the newspaper only on while logged in at the library!

All Access to The New York Times at home or on the go:

  1. Go to the library's dedicated link: to redeem a 24-hour access code both inside the library and at home.

  2. Your code will auto-populate. Click redeem.

  3. You will need to either register for a free account or log in to your existing account.

  4. After receiving confirmation that your access code is valid, you will have 24-hours of complimentary access to the full world of The New York Times, including News, Games, Cooking, Wirecutter, and The Athletic!

Wood County Historical Newspapers

Wood County Historical Newspapers: Online collection of several Wood County newspapers, including the weekly Wood County Sentinel-Tribune (from 1867-1926) and the Daily Sentinel-Tribune (from 1890-1926). This project funded in part through an Institute of Museum and Library Services LSTA grant awarded by the State Library of Ohio and the Mearl and Lolita Guthrie estate.​

Local Newspaper Index: This database provides a partial index to articles of local interest found in the Sentinel-Tribune from the 1960s to 1995 and comprehensive coverage from 1995 to the present. This database also provides ongoing indexing to the BG Independent News with scattered coverage beginning with 2022.
