Benny's Big Heart: An Author Event with Susan Montgomery & Benny the Therapy Dog

Join WCDPL to meet local author Susan Montgomery and therapy dog Benny on Monday, May 12 at 5:00 p.m. In celebration of Susan’s new book, Benny’s Big Heart: A Therapy Dog Spreads Kindness, the pair, along with Benny’s owner, Carol, will visit the library and have a read-along of the book with families. There will also be a craft and books available to purchase.

Inspired by therapy dog Benny in Bowling Green, Ohio, this intergenerational tale celebrates the special bond between dogs and people of all ages. From listening to kids read at the library to comforting college students and bringing warmth to seniors, Benny’s gentle presence proves that small moments can make a big difference.
